THE MESSAGE:
Justice is a card of karma. It tells of ‘Universal balance’ and justice and relates to the number 8  -  the number of karma.

Being a card of balance, Justice suggests the need to bring in balance on all levels of being. Justice tells of principles, true speaking and the desire to do what is right. It is the power of the intellect, mental alertness and agility. Justice involves fairness and using the intellect as arbiter.

Justice combines severity with beauty to bring balance into our lives. The term ‘poetic justice’ is an appropriate phrase which aptly describes this pathway.

The Justice tarot card represents the choices we make and reminds us to base them on wisdom, planning, reflection, rationality, and a weighing up of options between the sword and the scales.

Based on the realization that life is ultimately fair and just, the Justice card symbolizes balance, harmony and fairness in our lives.

The Justice card concerns the ability to discriminate, discern and make choices based on dispassionate, impersonal evaluation of merit. Justice represents the uniquely human quality of impartial judgment and the power of the rational mind.

Justice is essentially a human concept which inspires in mankind the hope of attaining a better life. Justice is mankind’s attempt to establish equilibrium as a guiding principle in the world and in society. Striving for justice is considered to be one of the most noble manifestations of the human spirit.

Justice tells us that we must learn to be accountable for our past actions in a just manner if we hope to evolve into the next level of awareness.

Justice tells us that to become involved with the higher-self is to know our life/soul purpose

Justice may represent someone with a well-balanced personality. Justice indicates the importance of achieving a balance within oneself as well as in one’s surroundings. This cannot be rushed however, and time must be allowed to run its course.

To achieve total balance we must learn to understand the power we have in our own existence. Once we learn to blend the higher-self with or daily thinking pattern, we will learn how to avoid the obstacles and pitfalls experienced when we operate fully on a materialistic level. As we learn to blend the two levels, we mature spiritually. It makes us grow stronger and develop an inner-strength that will help us to steer our lives in the right direction. Balance within gives us great strength to our character.

Justice is a card which suggests the Law of Purpose, self-direction and education, which is complimented by action and work.

The sword depicted on the Justice card represents the balance of the ‘double-headed sword of Justice’.

The cloak of green represents growth.

The gown of red signifies the Mars energy, and compliments the green of growth and learning.

The grey pillars symbolize wisdom and the subconscious directions received from experience, which are the seeds of karma. This is the basis of all activities and from that we gain instruction, direction and knowledge. The pillars represent spiritual and moral justice.

The sword indicates a balance of mercy and retribution.

The yellow hair of the person depicted on the Justice card ties him to The Empress. He brings with him the ‘Venus’ feeling and also identifies with the Lady depicted on the Strength card.

The three peaks shown on the golden crown and the four sides of the square equal 7  -  the Cabalistic number of ‘High Order’.

Justice is ruled by Libra, which states ‘I seek myself through what I unite’. Libra is concerned with the principles of truth and justice.

In relation to Capricorn, Justice represents discipline, structure, family traditions, society and the correct way to behave.

Number 8 tells of a power that comes with this number. This power must be used for the good of mankind rather than to its detriment. 8 is the ‘teacher’, the psychic, the healer. It tells of one of the most difficult of destiny paths, and that there may be many hard knocks throughout life. It tells that one must become resilient.

As 8 is the number of karma, Justice represents ‘as you sow, so shall you reap’ and asks you to ‘walk your talk’. Saturn governs number 8, administering justice firmly and frequently in a bid to bring about illumination.

The Justice card, being number 11 tells of individuals who are blessed with the qualities of genius. Highly sensitive, they will be subjected to rejection so they must always endeavour to remain ‘earthed’ and practical in outlook.

In love relationships the Justice card is reflected by honesty, respect, and loyalty, and in professional life by essential values like professionalism, respect for established processes and procedures and adherence to reporting systems.

MEANING:
When the Justice card appears in a reading it is implying that a fair and just decision has been made after a situation has been fully investigated. It tells that justice has been served.

The Justice card asks that you rely upon your intuition, and go ahead with plans. Do not allow anyone to sway you from your path, or influence you against your better judgment.

Justice tells of a focus on matters concerning the law or partnerships. If you are in the throes of obtaining justice, especially with legal documents, solicitors and all types of legal actions, the outcomes are successful.

If your issue relates to career choice, the Justice card leans favourably towards social work, the police force, careers involving legal issues and government departments.

REVERSED MEANING:
Keywords:

Unfairness, intolerance, injustices, legal complications, bigotry, bias, excessive severity.

When Justice appears reversed in a reading it is indicating that a karmic lesson has been experienced and you are to fully understand its meaning and lessons. ‘Acceptance’ is the key.

The Justice card appearing reversed may be implying that someone around you has taken advantage of you. It may also imply false accusations and intolerance. You are unable to change things at this time, so your only option is to learn from the lesson, and do not allow it to happen again. Handle the situation as best you can, then move on.

When Justice appears reversed it may be indicating an injustice or loss in your life. Move on regardless and trust that there is better to come.

The reversed Justice card may be telling of someone feeling inadequate and/or insecure. The Justice card reversed may be indicating that your behaviour may have been excessive of late, and this may result in repercussions, perhaps in the form of a fine.

Justice reversed asks you to work within the law, as being issued with fines and penalties is indicated. It may also imply legal complications and setbacks are imminent, therefore, avoid acting at this point if at all possible. Injustice and loss are hovering, so avoid confrontations at this time.

Justice, when appearing reversed, counsels against accepting injustice in exchange for a quiet and uncomplicated life, even if it means seeing someone being treated unfairly.

When Justice appears reversed it tells of a need to stop worrying, and to direct your energies elsewhere. It may indicate that in a situation where there is a deadlock, a completely new approach is needed in order to work through the problem and make progress.

In negative situations the Justice card can resemble imbalance, coldness, and a destructive streak impeding relationships.

  3. Tears. Overwhelmed. It's June 8, 2017 and the Holly King has come to me today. I saw him first in the woods, a snowman above his head as tree spirits. Next I saw the Holly King etched on the hand towel in my bathroom by some invisible hand. The same hand that etches pictures on my Reiki clients. Clear Quartz, Garnet, Ruby and Green Tourmaline enhance the energies of Yule. I opened a bank account yesterday. The customer service rep was named Ruby. The bank card is the colour of garnet/ruby. It expires in 2020. Number 22 -has signifigance and also a Master number. These numbers 11,8,2. Keep turning up for me. Inside the Bank was Grey. I am these numbers; the teacher, the healer, the psychic. 11 is one of my numbers. I am Libra Moon.I believe that my Divine Beloved may be Capricorn. I have been receiving this message since last fall, 2016.I love that the number 8 is the karma number and it is the day before a full moon on the 9th - ending a cycle. I am in a karmic situation that needs to end. My Venus is in Libra.I have seen my Divine Beloved in Dreams with long, curly, sandy hair. He introduced himself to me as 'Jake'...yesterday I came across a picture of a dog named 'Jake'the caption indicated he was packing his bags for travel. The Holly King will soon be stepping back as the Oak King steps forward in the Summer Equinox. Green, Red and Yellow are chakras that I have been healing as well as orange.(Red and Yellow) So much more....thank you Joanna for taking the time to put this together. <3
