MASTER:
The Ruling Master of The World is the Ascended Master Paul the Venetian. The vibrations and energies of the Venetian Master are of the intellect and the powers of emotion, and these are readily bestowed upon those who are interested in the study of the arts and music and the practical sciences. The Venetian Master bestows the energies of self-expression to mankind and radiates knowingness and knowledge to all who seek it. Paul the Venetian gives his assistance to those who feel the need to control their emotional selves, in which the ego has unknowingly gained dominance.

The Venetian Master operates from within the Golden Ray and works on the 3rd Ray energy.

TREE OF LIFE:
On the Tree of Life, pathway 21 connects sephira YESOD (9) keyword: foundation, to MALKUTH (10) keyword: kingdom.

The energy of The World combines the earthly foundation with the ‘Kingdom of God’ (or the Universe) to complete the cycle of or terrestrial existence. Upon completion of this cycle, we will begin new tasks that will also need to be seen through to completion.

HERB:  COMFREY
Comfrey is a demulcent and vulnerary and promotes healing. It is a tonic and an alterative. In ancient times, comfrey was known as ‘knit-bone’ as it was used to heal broken bones and the like.

Comfrey was used both externally and internally to unite torn flesh and broken bones. The tea made from the comfrey leaf is an alterative against fevers and lung infections. The root is taken as a demulcent for ulcers and internal injuries and bleeding, as well as to moisten and strengthen the lungs.

Symbolically, comfrey is used for healing and for pulling things together within oneself and in one’s outer circumstances.

The Divinatory meaning is to ‘unite’  -  to join together.  Comfrey is to encompass the whole and to experience the supreme feeling of union, healing and success.

THE MESSAGE:
The World card is perhaps one of he most abstract images in the Tarot, and is therefore a difficult one to fully comprehend.  It represents the completed journey of The Fool. The Fool has found freedom and the struggles of life have been temporarily suspended.

The World tells us that each day is a challenge, as life is continually changing. The journey never really ends because at the moment of completion, a new cycle begins.

The secret of The World card is integrity, which has it’s own rewards. The World tells of someone who has everything together, indicating total balance.

The World card stands for the peak of attainment, the reward for all effort; the crowing glory. But even in that moment of triumph, there is the knowledge of a new goal to be attained.

The World tarot card is a symbol that represents all that we can accomplish on our path through life. It tells of perfection, beauty, success, abundance and public recognition. It tells of where the cycle ends, only to begin again. The World card tells of accomplishments and of reaching one’s potential and goals. It makes us aware that in the completing of one cycle, we are at the beginning point of yet another.

The wreath symbolizes the ‘mystery of creation’.

The 4 elemental symbols depicted in the corners of The World card are the ‘balances’, and become the ‘cornerstones of life’.

The Lemniscates shown at the top and bottom of the wreath indicate victory and tells of the whole or complete person who is able to reproduce on their own.

The World dancer assembles the cast of reality in a festive dance, turning all of creation into a celebration and a unity with its creator. The dance is the journey through the Tarot. The dance and the dancer fuse to enter a close circle of completion, thus becoming one with the World and its creator. This is the dance of the history of
humankind.

The two wands held by the dancer represents the powers of evolution and involution, which they now possess, and also symbolizes ‘power on earth’. The dancer appears to be female in gender, but the scarf or sash hides the evidence or truth. The hermaphrodite is depicted in this way. The dancer has the attention of the four elements of the World  -  Earth, Fire, Water and Air. The dancer symbolizes the concept that the Universe is the ‘Dance of Life’, and represents the immortal, central self within  -  the eternal dancer.

The World, in relation to Scorpio, suggests that you can be triumphant in any undertaking as you have learned your lessons from the past. It tells of good vibrations for the many changes you are now preparing to make, and that you are free to accept new responsibilities. In its relation with Scorpio, it denotes the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new phase in your life. It combines the ‘Earthly foundation’ with the ‘Kingdom of God’, and the completion of the cycle of our earthly existence. You are now able to begin new tasks that will also need to be seen through to completion.

The World, in its relation to the Sun, tells of achievement and positive energies that are ours to work with. It indicates the qualities of leadership and success, and suggests that in whatever area of your life the Sun turns up in, you will be wanting to shine brightly in that area. The Sun’s energy is fortifying and vitalizing. It tells that the main expression of the person is individuality, and tells of the capacity of our experiences.

Being ruled by Saturn, we see the ‘teacher’. It indicates that we need to thoroughly learn the lessons of discipline, responsibility, contemplation, sorrow and delays. Saturn represents the principles of truth and wisdom, of aging and solidification. The World suggests that you are free to go in any direction, hoping you have learned the lessons of Saturn. Saturn is considered the ‘Task Master of the Horoscope’, and makes one look at what we are doing, and we need to rectify all mistakes. It suggests that we also need to watch where we are going and not make the same mistakes over and over. Saturn is the planet that can give one a great feeling of insecurity. Saturn’s message is, “we must learn the lesson”.

The World relates to the number 33, which is the Master Number of healing energies, and is the number of the Martyr. 33 is Jesus’ number. The Master Number 33 brings in enormous amounts of unconditional love and the higher energies of creativity. The Master Healer must serve humanity as it is the reason for incarnation.

The number 21 is the number of The World. This energy is largely concerned with friendship, and loyalty is paramount to this energy. The concepts of ‘Universal Brotherhood’ are readily grasped in it’s true meaning under the influences of the number 21. The number 21 reduced becomes the number 3, which suggests that there will be a period of suspended activity before future successes.

MEANING:
The World in a reading tells of the end of a cycle and brings in a new phase of life. It indicates the successful completion of a project or the happy conclusion of a phase in your life. As well as a feeling of contentment, there is a much deeper, spiritual sense of self-awareness and understanding.

The World in a reading indicates that vibrations are good at this time to make changes concerning both work and home aspects. You are now free to accept new responsibilities and there will be triumph in all undertakings.

The World in a spread indicates travel and movement; either a journey to be made or a vacation to be had, or a change of residence.

The World implies that it would be wise to undertake further, higher studies.

The World asks that you never forget what it took to get where you are today, and tells of challenges that have been faced and won.

The World appearing in a reading indicates that you are free to choose your own path. The World speaks of success with the assurance of honest achievement and successful conclusions. It is implying that you will triumph in any undertaking at this time, and will have a fulfilling life.

When The World appears in a reading it may be signifying a job very well done and you are to be commended. It is within your personal power to make important decisions for yourself and to make important decisions for yourself and others. You are reliable and trustworthy, and all you undertake will prove fruitful.

Emotionally, you may feel secure in the knowledge that you will be well respected and sought after.

The World appearing in a reading implies that congratulations are now in order and you can and should feel justifiably pleased with yourself.

When The World appears in a spread, regard its presence as an aspiration to seize the day and attempt to fulfill your desires. If you are contemplating a significant change in your life, this card indicates that it will be successful.

REVERSED MEANING:
Keyword:

Laziness, lacking in goals, lack of will, delay, frustration, inertia, stagnation, permanence.

The World, when it appears reversed in a reading, indicates a refusal to explore new avenues and this will not help you attain success. Stagnation has set in due to fear. You are inclined to resist change, so therefore, you are stuck in the present, unsatisfactory situation.

The reversed World card indicates a circle of frustration and boredom. A new approach is needed to break free of the cycle. Re-assess the situation and accept other ideas as well as your own.

The World tells of the failure to work at improving yourself or your situation because of your belief and expectation that the world owes you a living. The World reversed implies a holding back of personal development and asks that you make a change of attitude and make positive plans to help to alleviate the situation your currently find yourself in. Your personal integrity and self-respect should allow you to pull yourself out of this cycle.

Reversed, The World may be implying a stubborn attitude and a resistance to shift. This will not lead to positive change in your life. Be prepared to listen to and accept other people’s ideas and/or views.

When The World appears reversed it may be telling you that although you are working very hard, you may not be applying yourself in the right way. Look to new and different ways of doing things in order to find success.

Reversed, The World tells of being afraid of change, feeling insecure and showing a distinct lack of vision. It indicates that you may lack courage and conviction at this time. An opportunity may arise and you will have to act quickly and decisively, but if you don’t take advantage of this opportunity, there may be regrets in the future.

The World reversed may be indicating that there is a reason to remain aware, and beware of some upheavals that may knock you off your path.

The World reversed tells that you have experienced many lessons in your life, but have not learned from them.

The World in the reversed position in a reading tells that someone who seems to be trying hard, is not really applying themselves in the correct way, leading to failure.
