MEANING:

The number 10 reduces to the number 1, and 1’s in a reading indicate new beginnings and change. The focus is on success  -  but that success has little or no reward.

The X of Wands can suggest that one is over-burdened with responsibilities and commitments. The 10 of Wands implies a sense of oppression which may cause unhappiness and distress. It tells that pride may be standing in the way of delegation, and if this is not addressed and the workload is not shared evenly, then this may prove too much to the individual, leading to further duress.

The 10 of Wands shows a person who is burdened with worries and stress, and who is trying to do too much at once.  The 10 of Wands indicates that burdens can become too oppressive to carry and you are warned of the difficulties which are sometimes incurred by not being fully aware of your own limits. You are asked to stop what you are doing and re-prioritize.

The X of Wands in a reading may indicate that you are not at peace with yourself, and you are acting in a selfish and thoughtless manner. It indicates that a problem may soon be solved, although it can also mean that force and energy has been applied for selfish ends.

The 10 of Wands in a spread may be indicating that you may receive material rewards  -  but spiritually, you are floundering at this time.

If you are involved in a law suit, you will most certainly face defeat when the X of Wands appears in a reading.

The Ten of Wands tells you that to regain inner-peace you should try to be more generous to others, both emotionally and materially. Material success is far more rewarding when the rewards are shared.

The 10 of Wands in a reading indicates a ‘dark time’ in one’s life, or the ‘darkness before the dawn’, when nothing seems to go as planned, leading to frustration and stress. You are asked to be patient and tolerant and not to use your powers unwisely. It is indicative that you will overcome difficulties using tenacity and perseverance. It is essential that you come to terms with all aspects of your life.

The Ten of Wands tells you to prepare yourself to be calm and strong in the face of unexpected events or situations, so that you are able to deal with them accordingly.

The X of Wands in a reading indicates that it is a time to set limits and restrictions on yourself and others. This time will not last too long, and you will be glad for the benefits achieved.

Keywords:

Struggles, contrarieties, difficulties, intrigues, deceit, exhaustion, confusion, depression, inefficiency.

The X of Wands reversed implies that it is now obvious that too much responsibility, or a too heavy a schedule or lifestyle, is taking its toll in many ways. It is leading to tiredness, feelings of being over-burdened, and decrease in efficiency and lack of day to day enjoyment. It is time to re-evaluate and re-prioritize commitments and giving up some responsibilities.

Reversed, the Ten of Wands asks you to be aware of others conspiring against you unexpectedly.

When the X of Wands appears reversed in a reading it is an indication of a burden or heavy load which is difficult to bare. It tells of doing things the hard way or finding it difficult to get others to help you. It implies that there is a need to look at the original goal to see if you are still on course.

Appearing reversed, the Ten of Wands asks that you not overload others with your burdens.

A feeling of being rundown, over-tired and exhausted is implied when the X of Wands appears reversed and there is a need to look after one’s health. A change in environment or scenery is advised as it would be beneficial in many ways.

  1. Thank you, Joanne. It is very generous of you to share your knowledge and energy. I got X of Wands in the position of 'The Loved One' and I was amazed, because my love interest is absolutely overworked and has no time for anything, really. My reading was not positive, so to speak, but my 'Long Term Potential' was very positive, so I guess I just need to wait and not do anything drastic during this 'storm'. :)
